Strawberry Pancakes with Strawberry Sauce

Light and fluffy pancakes are speckled with juicy strawberries and topped with homemade strawberry maple syrup. Good morning!

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: About 3 minutes per pancake

Makes: 6 pancakes

Ingredients:

Pancakes
1 1/4 cups (300 mL) Robin Hood® Original Homestyle Pancake Mix
1 cup (250 mL) water
6 tbsp (90 mL) fresh strawberries, chopped
Strawberry Orange Sauce
1 cup (250 mL) Smucker's® Pure Strawberry Jam
1/3 cup (75 mL) orange juice
Strawberry Maple Syrup
1 cup (250 mL) Smucker's® No Sugar Added Strawberry Fruit and Concentrated White Grape Juice Spread
3/4 cup (175 mL) maple syrup

Directions:

1. Preheat skillet or griddle to medium-high (375°F/190°C).
2. Combine mix and water in small bowl. Mix with a whisk until large lumps disappear.
3. Pour 1/4 cup (50 mL) batter for each pancake onto lightly greased preheated griddle. Sprinkle 1 tbsp. (15 mL) chopped berries evenly over surface. Cook until bottom is golden and surface is slightly dry. Flip over and continue cooking until second side is golden.
4. Serve warm, fruit side up with butter and syrup, Strawberry Orange Sauce or Strawberry Maple Syrup.

Note:

1. A few fresh berries make breakfast pancakes special.
