A thick sweet, sour and hot sauce. Sauce:½ cup (125 mL) Bick’s® Savoury Tomato Relish2 tsp (10 mL) Bick’s® Hot Pepper Relish½ cup (125 mL) ketchup½ cup (125 mL) Smucker’s® Grape Jelly2 cloves garlic, chopped1 tbsp (15 mL) lemon juice1/3 cup (75 mL) water3 lbs (1.5 kg) ribs
1. Combine all sauce ingredients. Arrange ribs in 9 x 13 (23cm x 33cm) baking dish. Cover with sauce and refrigerate, covered with foil, overnight.2. BBQ directions: Preheat gas grill to 300ºF (150ºC). Once bbq is preheated, turn off one burner and place ribs in foil covered pan on side of bbq that is off. Cook, with the hood down, 2 ½ to 3 hours, adding water to pan to prevent sticking if necessary. For drier ribs, remove foil after 2 ½ hours and continue cooking, 30 minutes or until desired consistency is achieved.3. Oven directions: Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Bake covered 2 ½ to 3 hours, adding water to pan to prevent sticking, if necessary, until meat is fork tender.
