Sticky Ribs

Sticky Ribs

Preparation Time:
Cooking Time:

Makes: 4 servings

Ingredients:

A thick sweet, sour and hot sauce.
Sauce:
½ cup (125 mL) Bick’s® Zesty Onion Relish
2 tsp (10 mL) Bick’s® Hot Pepper Relish
½ cup (125 mL) ketchup
½ cup (125 mL) Smucker’s® Grape Jelly
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 tbsp (15 mL) lemon juice
1/3 cup (75 mL) water
3 lbs (1.5 kg) ribs

Directions:

1. Combine all sauce ingredients. Arrange ribs in 9 x 13 (23cm x 33cm) baking dish. Cover with sauce and refrigerate, covered with foil, overnight.
2. BBQ directions: Preheat gas grill to 300ºF (150ºC). Once bbq is preheated, turn off one burner and place ribs in foil covered pan on side of bbq that is off. Cook, with the hood down, 2 ½ to 3 hours, adding water to pan to prevent sticking if necessary. For drier ribs, remove foil after 2 ½ hours and continue cooking, 30 minutes or until desired consistency is achieved.
3. Oven directions: Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Bake covered 2 ½ to 3 hours, adding water to pan to prevent sticking, if necessary, until meat is fork tender.
