Lacy Caramel Crisps

Lacy Caramel Crisps

Add an elegant touch to any platter with these light and crispy cookies. Allow to cool 1 minute before removing from the pan.

Preparation Time:
Cooking Time:

Makes: 10 crisps

Ingredients:

1/2 cup (125 mL) Smucker’s® Caramel Sundae Syrup
1/4 cup (50 mL) Unsalted butter, melted
2 tsp (10 mL) White sugar
2 tbsp (30 mL) Robin Hood® All Purpose Flour

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 325°F/160°C.
2. Whisk first three ingredients together in bowl until smooth.
3. Whisk in flour.
4. Spread 1 tbsp of batter in 2” (5 cm) circles, 2” (5 cm) apart on un-greased, non-stick cookie sheets.
5. Bake up to 10 minutes or until bubbly and medium-dark brown.
6. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet (crisps will be semi-firm at this point).
7. Using spatula, transfer to cake rack to firm up, about 5 min.

Note:

1. When crisps are in the oven, they will quickly spread out and begin to bubble. This is normal and what gives the crisps their lacy appearance. When removing crisps from pan, if you try to remove them without waiting, they will be too soft and crumple. Pratice a few and they will be perfect!
