1 cup (250 mL) packed brown sugar1 tsp (15 mL) CRISCO® Canola Oil2 tsp (10 mL) dry mustard2 tbsp (30 mL) water1 fully cooked ham or half ham, bone-in or boneless whole cloves (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 350ºF (175°C).2. Combine brown sugar, oil, dry mustard and water to form a paste in a small bowl. 3. Place ham on a rack in roasting pan with fat side up. Add 1 cup (250mL) water to pan. Heat, covered with foil 10 minutes per pound or until fully heated 4. During the last 30 minutes of heating time, remove ham from oven and brush with glaze. (Optional: before brushing with glaze, score ham diagonally (1/8- inch (0.3 cm) deep to make a diamond pattern. Place cloves in the corners of each diamond.) 5. Return to oven and heat, uncovered, until a meat thermometer registers 140º (60ºC). Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
