Chili Macaroni

This one pot wonder comes together in under 30 minutes. A hearty and comforting way to end the day.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 35 minutes

Makes: about 8 servings

Ingredients:

1 lb (500g) ground beef
2 medium onions, chopped
1 large green pepper, chopped
1 can tomatoes (28 oz/796 mL), undrained
1 can kidney beans (28 oz/796 mL), undrained
1 can tomato sauce (19 oz/540 mL)
1 cup (250mL) uncooked macaroni
1/3 cup (75mL) Bick’s® Hot Pepper Relish
1 tbsp (15mL) chilli powder
salt and pepper to taste
shredded Cheddar cheese, optional

Directions:

1. Sauté meat, onions and peppers in large saucepan until meat is no longer pink. Stir in remaining ingredients, except for cheese.
2. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until macaroni is cooked. Serve hot. Sprinkle each serving with cheese, if desired.
